Arts & Crafts
Welcome to my Crafty page!
When I have time I like to do crafty things. I haven’t done much lately because society likes to try and beat the joy out of life, but when I feel a sense of inspiration I try to go for it even if it’s small.
I was originally inspired by this pumpkin design up above. I thought to myself “oh that’s simple to follow. It’ll be easy peasy lemon squeezy”. I truly believed I had it down in my head. When I finished carving my pumpkin to the left (or at the top if you’re on your phone) I thought “oh yeah that’s an exact replica”. Nope! My pumpkin is definitely not the same as the one above. I don’t know what image I was following in my head (╭ರ_•́).
Felting
I think I’ve felted a total of 4 things using the little felting packs from Daiso. I’m really bummed because I didn’t take pictures of the other creations besides this little Gojo over here. I also felted a duck, a cat, and a little plant in a pot for my friend’s birthday. The cat was so cute and my grandma threw her right out because my grandma lacks appreciation for the finer things in life. I think my sister put my duck outside and an animal came and removed its eyes. My friend probably lost the little plant I made her too (;´༎ຶٹ༎ຶ`).
Anyway, I’d like to tell you the story of this here Gojo though.
It all happened on a dark, cold night, the moon hanging in the sky like a silent witness to what was about to unfold. I was with my family when suddenly, my sister said she wanted to watch the Snyder cut of the Justice League movie. The horror vibrated through my very strong, but frail bones. “The Snyder cut!?” I said. Much to my dismay, we began the movie, and as time dragged on, a sudden, thunderous snore jolted me in the ear. I looked over to see my mom and sister fast asleep, completely unaware of the sudden noise that had jolted the quiet room.
They wanted to watch the movie and slept right through it! My brother and I were the only ones who stayed up throughout the entire movie and we were like why did we do that? That movie was way too long, but at least I got something cute out of it which is my Gojo.

Candle Making
I make candles in the most basic, simple way possible. The most advanced thing I can do is make different colored layers. My goal is to one day make a Shrek earwax candle though!
I originally started making candles because I used to light candles every night to help me sleep better, but they burn out quickly if you use them a lot and they are not cheap to buy. So I decided to start making my own instead of paying $10 - $20 for a new one. I bought a wick kit online through amazon and a 2lb bag of wax from any crafts store like Hobby Lobby, Joanns, etc.
I started off with soy wax since I read that it was better for you compared to the regular wax used for most candles. I liked the soy wax, but if you don’t control the temperature properly then the wax crystallizes once it cools and it kind of messes with the colors and the whole look of the candle. The candles in this picture were made with soy wax and luckily I didn’t overheat the wax because there are no crystallization marks.
I now use palm wax which is far more oily and waxy, but it doesn’t crystallize. I have noticed that it melts much faster and easier than the soy wax so cleaning my little candle containers is pretty easy.

Soap Making
I have not tried making soap yet. I’m keeping this section here as a reminder to myself to try it one day because I would love to make good bar of soap. Maybe I can eventually make a gentle face wash cleanser so I don’t have to keep buying the expensive brands (,,╥﹏╥,,).
I did not make that soap in the picture although I’d love to make something like that. I didn’t take that photo either although it’s a really photogenic photo. Makes me feel like I’m at a spa.
