Ice Cream

When I went to visit my family for the holidays, my sister took my mom and I to an ice cream place. I must say, I’m more of a frozen yogurt gal than an ice cream gal, but I also haven’t had a good ice cream in a really really long time. My favorite ice cream flavor stopped selling in stores near me. It was made by Lovin’ Scoopful and the flavor was Caramel Chocolate Heaven. The chocolate in that ice cream truly was heavenly. I have never liked vanilla ice cream, but this ice cream company did the chocolate and vanilla so well that I was hooked. It even had a slight coffee-like flavor and I. Do. Not. Like. Coffee! I don’t know how Lovin’ Scoopful did it, but somehow they did and now they won’t sell it anymore for whatever reason. It probably wasn’t popular enough, but in my heart of hearts…it was a #1.

Anyway, my sister introduced me to an ice cream place that had a spectacular ice cream flavor. The name of it was Salted Dark Chocolate Oreo. At first I was hesitant because I feel many sweet shops in the US rely too heavily on sugar to make their stuff taste “good”. A cheap cop out in my opinion and a way to still make money while putting in no effort. This salted dark chocolate oreo ice cream though…ooo wee! I thought the oreo would have been too sweet, but in small fragments it added a nice little extra umph. It was so smooth and so creamy and so rich and just the right amount of sweetness. I wanted to meet the person who made it then thank them and watch them make it so I could copy it at home. I haven’t had a yummy chocolate ice cream like that in a good minute. Hats off to those owners 💘
